How to install Primo elevators and the most important stages of installation and maintenance

The elevator installation method is one of the most important factors to consider when purchasing an elevator for a building, as the elevator's installation directly affects its performance and efficiency with repeated use.

In this article, we'll explore Primo Elevators' elevator supply and installation protocol, ensuring passenger safety, extending the elevator's lifespan, maintaining its efficiency, and providing excellent after-sales service.

Stages of installing an electric elevator
Phase 1: Installation of floor rails and doors
The first stage of elevator installation is a vital step that significantly impacts the installation process and the measurements required for cabin manufacturing. This stage includes:

1. Elevator room (cabin) measurements: These measurements are based on measurements taken after the rails are installed. These measurements require determining the distance between the cabin rails, the distance between the load rails, and the distance between the cabin rail and the floor door.

2. Installing the floor doors: At this stage, the floor doors are installed so that the owner can close the door frames using the required materials such as cement, marble, or stainless steel.

Rails are made of T-shaped scrap steel, with varying dimensions depending on the elevator type and the approved load. For example, a passenger elevator requires 9 cm rails for the cabin and 5 cm rails for the load. Rails are installed in stages, with the rails being installed at the bottom of the shaft and then spaced 160-180 cm apart.

Types of floor doors that can be installed:

  • 1- SELCOM

    2- FERMATOR

Doors are installed using black roll screws and metal fixing aids.

Stage 2: Installing the electric motor and cabin
At this stage, the electric motor, elevator room (cabin), all suspension systems, and safety devices are installed. A request is then submitted to the Standards and Metrology Organization for inspection, and a letter is sent to the electricity company to extend the elevator's electricity supply.

Types of engines used:

1. Italian Secor engines.

2. Akish Turkish engines.

3. Chinese Monadriv engines.

These motors vary in speed, as there are two-speed motors or single-speed motors, depending on the need and size of the elevator.

The cabins are sourced from the best elevator companies and feature the latest modern décor, along with excellent models of safe cabins that operate according to the German elevator system.

Stage 3: Elevator Operation

After the electricity meter is connected to the site, the elevator is turned on and the wires are connected to the elevator control panel. The elevator's equipment is then started and delivered to the owner.
